Trinity Western University Video Portfolio
This is a collection of some of my best video work from my previous job as Communications Specialist - Video Services in the Marketing & Communications department at Trinity Western University. It is broken up into three different categories, two of which are major video marketing campaigns we developed (TWU Live and Face the World), and the third is a general collection of various marketing videos.
TWU Live
In the spring of 2020, when COVID-19 stopped the University from bringing prospective students onto campus, we had to find a way to bring campus to them. Thus, TWU Live was born—an ambitious, multi-media, virtual event consisting of a live broadcast, virtual reality tours, and over 40 prerecorded interviews with staff, faculty, and students. Students who preregistered were mailed a branded shoebox containing TWU swag and their own set of VR goggles, and invited to log on and join the fun on the specified date.
All of this content was conceived, developed, and produced within the extremely tight timeline of two weeks, in order to replace the first cancelled in-person Preview event with the premiere of TWU Live. It has proven so effective that the virtual format has been permanently adopted and repeated, and TWU will continue to run TWU Live events, even when the original, in-person events eventually resume.
The trailer for the event, the VR campus tour, plus a selection of interview videos are shared below.
Face the world
Trinity Western University’s Face the World campaign spotlights real stories of extraordinary TWU students and alumni who are making a transformational impact on culture.
Each Face the World Hero Story consists of a concise and compelling cinematic Trailer that features the hero’s transformative journey through TWU and beyond, and a uniquely raw and unproduced Interview where they tell their story in their own words.
Initially launched in fall 2018, the first wave of Hero Stories focused on undergraduate students and alumni—but the scope quickly expanded to feature graduate and adult learners. Now, the breadth and essence of the campaign has been captured in a capstone video eponymously titled “Face the World.”
The capstone video, plus a selection of Hero Stories (each video contains Trailer + Interview), are shared below.
GENERAL TWU VIDEOS
Presented below are a selection of the many different marketing videos I produced while working at TWU.
